- Description: Serves families with young children from pregnancy to age 5. Provides parenting education, support, and connections to community resources. Services can be provided in-home, at one of the HMG centers, over the phone, or online. Services include: Developmental screenings and referrals for interventions Help to access services through other agencies such as: Preschool Parenting classes Mental health and wellness services Substance use recovery Social services Medical and dental services Help to access any and all resources available in the community Help with kindergarten and transitional kindergarten enrollment Kit for new parents - free for pregnant women or families with children under age 3 Nurse check-in for baby's "failure to thrive" (not gaining appropriate weight) Free children's books for enrolled families Parenting education Transportation when needed Free diapers (also accepts diaper donations) Access to free car seats and car seat safety and installation training Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) for those who are concerned about their child's development - Available on Website.Offers help in understanding the following: Developmental milestones Child health Food and eating Behavior Speech and language Early learning and literacy Developmental delays Disabilities Parenting Support groups Social groups And more.
